If you’ve ever spent a long, intentional shower doing everything — the deep condition, the body scrub, the shave, the face mask, all of it — you already know the magic of an everything shower.

It’s not just a shower. It’s a ritual. A reset. A full-body glow-up in 30–45 minutes.

In this post, I’m walking you through my complete everything-shower routine, step by step, with exactly what I use and how to make it feel luxurious even on a budget. Save this one. You’re going to come back to it every week.

What Is an Everything Shower?

An everything shower is a long, intentional shower where you do every body and hair care step you normally skip during your quick daily rinse. Think of it as your weekly full reset — the one where you emerge feeling like a completely different (and much glowier) person.

It’s gone viral for a reason. When you give yourself permission to slow down and take care of every single inch of yourself, something shifts. You feel more put together. More confident. More you.

Most people do their everything shower once a week — usually on Sunday as part of a weekly reset — but you can do it whenever you need a refresh.

How to Build Your Everything Shower Routine

Step 1: Set the Scene First (5 minutes before you even step in)

This part matters more than people think. A rushed everything shower is just… a long shower.

  • Light a candle nearby if you can
  • Put on a playlist you love (soft, calm, or whatever feels good)
  • Set out every product you’ll use so nothing interrupts the flow
  • Grab a fresh towel and robe

Veranoz tip: Prep your body oil and moisturizer so they’re ready to apply immediately when you step out. Skin absorbs product best within 3 minutes of your shower.

Step 2: Pre-Shower Hair Treatment

Before the water even turns on, apply a deep conditioning hair mask or hair oil to dry hair. This is the step most people skip and it makes the biggest difference.

What to use:

  • A nourishing hair mask (apply from mid-length to ends)
  • Or a few drops of hair oil like argan or jojoba worked through the lengths
  • Clip your hair up and let it soak while you do everything else

Recommended picks:

Step 3: Remove Makeup and Cleanse Your Face

Start with your face before the steam hits and opens everything up.

  • Use a gentle makeup remover or cleansing balm first
  • Follow with your regular face cleanser
  • Be gentle — no harsh scrubbing here

This sets your skin up for the face mask you’ll do later.

Veranoz Recommends: For a complete skincare system that takes your routine to the next level, the Skinception skincare collection offers clinically researched formulas designed for glowing, even-toned skin.

Step 4: Scalp Massage + Shampoo

Now step into the water. First task: your scalp.

A scalp massage improves circulation, supports healthy hair growth, and honestly just feels incredible. Spend at least 2–3 minutes on this.

How to do it:

  • Apply shampoo and work into a lather
  • Use your fingertips (not nails) to massage in small circular motions
  • Start at the temples, work to the crown, then the nape

If you have an oily scalp, shampoo twice. First wash lifts buildup; second wash actually cleanses.

Rinse shampoo, then apply your conditioner or leave the mask you applied in Step 2. Clip it back up and move on — let it sit through the rest of your routine.

Step 5: Body Exfoliation (The Game Changer)

This is the step that gives you that “new skin” feeling. Don’t skip it.

Option 1: Physical scrub

  • Apply a body scrub in circular motions, starting from your feet and moving upward toward the heart
  • Focus on knees, elbows, heels, and upper arms
  • Be gentle on décolleté and any sensitive areas

Option 2: Dry brushing (before the shower)

  • Use a dry brush on dry skin before stepping in
  • Works beautifully for circulation and smoother skin texture over time

Recommended picks:

Step 6: Shave (If You Shave)

Post-exfoliation is the ideal time to shave. The dead skin is cleared, your hair follicles are soft, and you’ll get a much closer shave with less irritation.

Tips for a better shave:

  • Always use a sharp razor (dull razors cause ingrown hairs)
  • Use a shave gel or conditioner — never dry shave
  • Shave in the direction of hair growth on sensitive areas
  • Rinse your razor after every stroke

Step 7: Body Cleanse + Face Mask

Apply your body wash with a loofah, bath sponge, or your hands. Lather up fully and take your time.

This is also when you apply your face mask if you’re using one. Apply it while you finish your body wash and let it sit for 5–10 minutes.

Step 8: Rinse Everything + Cool Water Finish

Rinse out your conditioner or hair mask. Rinse your face mask. Do one final rinse of your full body.

Finish with 30 seconds of cooler water — it seals the hair cuticle (for shine) and closes your pores. You don’t have to go freezing cold. Just cool.

Step 9: The Post-Shower Glow Routine (Don’t Skip This!)

This is where the real glow happens. Your skin is warm, your pores are open, and you have a 3-minute window to lock in maximum moisture.

Step by step:

  1. Pat (don’t rub) dry gently — leave skin slightly damp
  2. Apply body oil immediately while skin is still damp — this seals in hydration
  3. Follow with a rich body lotion or butter
  4. Apply your facial serum and moisturizer
  5. Don’t forget your neck and décolleté

Final Thoughts

An everything shower isn’t about being perfect. It’s about giving yourself permission to slow down and show up for your body in a way that feels intentional and indulgent.

You don’t need expensive products. You don’t need an hour. You just need to commit to yourself once a week. And trust me — the way you feel walking out of that bathroom? That’s the glow everyone’s going to notice.
